Well I dyed my hair, but didn’t look at my script – 1 out of 2 isn’t bad! I did manage to also dye my face and fingers a little bit though... I blame my mum for getting it all over my face, because she was helping me, and then in trying to get it off my face I got it on my fingers. Oops. Ah well. I managed to get most of it off. Normally if you wipe your face straight away it comes off fine, but this was stubborn – I was scrubbing away and it wasn’t really budging. I just look a bit dirty if you look too closely, but a bit of foundation will cover it up!
Rehearsal tonight was slightly better. Well all my bits were fine anyway – some others were still awful, but there is nothing I can do about that. I just need to give the best performance that I can. If the old adage about bad dress rehearsal, good first night is true, then this is going to be the best bloody production of The Tempest ever!
I finally had a good day!

Break a leg! I'm sure it will be a great production (if not the bestest ever in the whole wide world ever) let us know how first night goes

What color did you choose?!?
ReplyDeleteAnd I think you have a good attitude towards your show-- you're right, you can only control how you rehearse/perform. But I'm sure that you're going to have a great opening night. When is it?
Wishing you well,
NOS
Ooh, dying your hair sounds lovely :)
ReplyDeleteI'm glad to hear rehearsel was a bit better. You'er right, you can only do your best, hopefully the real performance night will all go smoothly and well.
Take care,

Oh opening night is tonight! Well, unless it is raining torrentially, in which case we would be rained off.
ReplyDeleteI dyed my hair dark - I have used this colour quite a few times before. It basically makes my hair the same colour as my eyebrows (my hair is lighter than that naturally).
